Your shared road transfer departs OR Tambo International Airport and heads northeast. The drive takes 5 to 6 hours. You arrive at Safari Moon Luxury Bush Lodge inside Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate as the afternoon settles.

The estate sits on the boundary of Balule Private Nature Reserve, over 58,000 hectares of unfenced wilderness within the Greater Kruger ecosystem. Pridelands, your private traversing concession, is a single road crossing from the lodge. No transfer through town. No public vehicle queue.

Late afternoon, your qualified guide takes you into Pridelands for the sunset drive. As the light shifts to gold, the private routes produce sightings that public-access roads cannot. The drive continues after dark with spotlights. A three-course dinner prepared by the lodge chef follows.

Your shared shuttle departs OR Tambo International Airport heading northeast into the Limpopo lowveld. Approximately 5 to 6 hours on the road, arriving at Safari Moon Luxury Bush Lodge inside Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate in time for the afternoon drive on Pridelands.

Afternoon

Your qualified guide has the open vehicle into Pridelands within minutes of the lodge. The concession is not open to the public. Private traversing routes at the golden hour, Big Five territory, limited vehicles on the concession. The drive continues after dark with spotlights before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Full-day open-vehicle safari in the Kruger Park

Early departure for Orpen Gate, 60 minutes from the lodge. Orpen feeds into Kruger's western sector: productive predator and elephant country, quieter than the southern gates.

The open vehicle puts you inside the environment. No windows, no glass. Your qualified guide reads the bush, reads animal behaviour, and works the vehicle for the sighting. When something is worth staying for, you stay.

We do not run large groups or convoy. Your guide works your sightings.
Breakfast at a picnic site inside the park. Lunch at a Kruger rest camp. The afternoon session pushes into the changing light when predator activity climbs and the park begins to empty.

You return to Safari Moon in the late afternoon. A three-course dinner prepared by the lodge chef closes the day.

Full-day open-vehicle safari through Central Kruger National Park via Orpen Gate. Your qualified guide works the western sector from early morning through late afternoon. Breakfast and lunch are built into the route at Kruger rest camps and picnic sites.

Before departure, there is an optional sunrise game drive on Pridelands at R 1 390 per person. The reserve at dawn runs differently from the one you drove at sunset. Predators are still moving. The light is low and flat, and your guide knows both.

If you choose to go out, tea and coffee are served in the field. If something is worth stopping for, you stop. This is not a scheduled hour drive. You take the time the bush earns.

Breakfast at the lodge follows. Your shared shuttle departs for OR Tambo International Airport after breakfast, approximately 5 to 6 hours back to Johannesburg.
